Synopsis
The videoart piece explores the concept of Tèmenos, a sacred enclosure where we hide our securities from factual reality. The pandemic has forced us to use this space more often for protection, transforming it into a forced sharing space for videocalls and chats. The comfort zone has turned into an electromagnetic field, making us crave a transition to natural asceticism. Finding balance in this new condition is not easy.
The piece also delves into the cultural aspect of Tèmenos, where the sacred enclosure of art has been abandoned due to the pandemic. The artist is the only survivor, presented with an opportunity to free themselves from marketing and return to a dialogue with the primordial spectator, Nature. The transition to such a rarefied atmosphere is not easy. The videoart piece highlights the challenges of adapting to these new conditions and the importance of finding a balance between the sacred and the natural in this evolving world.
